AVAILABILITY OF STOCK:

 

We make every effort to keep our website current and update daily where possible. However, we individually select all goods displayed in our shops and on the website and source them from a wide variety of locations and consequently, the majority of our items are one offs and we cannot guarantee that items on view on the website at any time are available. In the event that your order cannot be fulfilled due to unavailability, we will seek to offer you an alternative or will attempt to source a similar item, although this may not always be possible and may be subject to some considerable delay. 

 

 

HELP WITH JEWELLERY SIZING:

 

We have given some very basic information about the dimensions of each piece whenever necessary. It sounds obvious, but it is a good idea to check that the dimensions we have given will be suitable for the shape and size of your neck, wrist, finger or ears.

 

We are happy to help you to find a comfortable size to wear.

 

Finger sizing card:

If you are unsure of your ring size, we are happy to provide you with a free finger sizing card. Please e-mail us click here to request a finger sizing card and please give us your postal address before you place an order. Remember to size your finger when your hands are not too hot or too cold, and choose a size that feels comfortable for you.

Alternatively, you may ask your local jeweller to size your finger. We are happy to provide this service for you whenever you visit our shops.

 

Choice of snake chains with pendants:

 

We offer a choice of 16” 18” 20” 22” lengths of silver snake chains with most pendants. Please select the length of chain you would prefer while you are placing an order.

 

JEWELLERY CARE:

 

When you first buy a piece of jewellery, it looks so beautiful and sparkly and clean. We encourage all our customers to adhere to a few basic jewellery care tips so that your jewellery maintains its precious and brand new appearance for as long as possible. Naturally, and over time, your jewellery will take on its own character. The tips listed below will help to keep your jewellery looking its best.

What is Sterling Silver:

Sterling silver is a precious metal containing at least 92.5% silver. This is the legal standard of purity set by the assay offices in Britain and used for most silver jewellery throughout the world. It means that the metal used is of a specific quality. Pure silver is never used as it is too soft to be practical.

What causes Silver to Tarnish:

1. Applying hair colour, permanent solution, etc. while wearing your jewellery

2. Showering with your jewellery on.

3. Body Lotions (Applying any of these after you've put on your jewellery - Perfume, Hair Spray, Sun Tan Lotion, Oils)

4. Physical Activities (Sweat)

5. Never Taking It off.

Caring for your Silver:

Remove rings before household chores – detergent can cause a film to build up on the surface which can become difficult to clean, and some detergents can actually damage your jewellery. Try not to go scrambling on rocks around the countryside as silver is a soft metal and contact with a hard surface can dull its lustre and cause dents in the surface. Please remove your jewellery when you go swimming – chlorine can damage many gemstones and precious metals.

Sterling silver will tarnish with time and wear. To clean your silver jewellery use a high quality silver cloth (do not use silver dip). Jewellery with sandblast, brushed, cross-scratched and dazzle finishes should not be cleaned with a silver cloth, but by using warm soapy water and a soft brush. Store individual pieces separately to avoid scratching. Protect by wrapping in soft fabric and storing in a cool, dry place. Avoid contact with chemicals, perfume, hairspray and deodorant. To bring back sparkle from faceted gemstones use warm water, washing up liquid and a soft toothbrush. Soak and brush inside the back of the setting and rinse. Our products are guaranteed against manufacturing faults, but not misuse. To maintain the condition of your jewellery remove when bathing, swimming or when undertaking manual work.

Care for Organic Gemstones:

Pearl: Pearls are damaged by perfume, hairspray, detergents, and perspiration. Apply perfumes and cosmetics before putting pearls on. Wipe with a damp cloth after wearing.

Coral: Perspiration will affect coral, dulling the colour. Avoid all chemicals. Never soak. To clean use a damp cloth.

Amber and Ivory: Avoid contact with hairspray, perfumes and cosmetics. To clean wash with warm soapy water and wipe dry. 

         HOW TO ORDER:

      Making sure your jewellery arrives promptly and securely is as important to us as it is to you, so the following information should be useful to help with your queries:

1.      Browse the site, click the button to the left corresponding to the type of product you wish to view and once you find the product(s) you wish to purchase, then you will be given the option of viewing a bigger image and more details. Simply click the link 'More info'.

2.      For each product, select the options you require (if applicable), then click the 'Add to cart' button.

3.      You will then be taken to a page confirming the product was added to your cart. From this page you can continue shopping or choose to checkout.

4.      After you have finished your shopping, click on the 'View Cart' button. Please check "View Cart" page and make sure the cart contains the products you wish to order. Then please select  "checkout".

5.      Select the postage band relating to your selection of goods: Jewellery, Art, Art and Jewellery, Gift Vouchers or Overseas. Select the Shipping Country. 6.      Finally, once you are sure that the product details are correct, please click the second checkout button.

7.      Now you are in a secure page, you will be asked for your name, delivery address and payment details.

8.      Depending on what payment option you have chosen, you will be taken to a new page where you may finish inputting your payment details. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Solo, Switch and Maestro.

     TO CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR ORDER:

If you change your mind after placing an order, you can cancel it within 7 days or at any time before we despatch it. The only exception is “customised” goods. Please call us call us on 01326 319432 or e-mail us or click here to inform us. You will need to give us your name and address details, as well as your order number to cancel your order. If you cancel part of an order the postage and packaging charge is recalculated on the price of the goods you keep.

1.      Gift Vouchers must be redeemed through Blue Wing Gallery Shops or website towards the purchase of products listed in the online catalogue.

2.      Gift Vouchers expire 6 months from the date of issuance.

3.      Gift Vouchers cannot be used to purchase other gift vouchers.

4.      Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash. For any merchandise paid by Gift Voucher where the transaction value is less than the face value of voucher, cash change up to £0.99 will be provided. Any excess change requirement will be paid in new Gift Vouchers. The refund of all merchandise purchased using Gift Vouchers will be paid in New Gift Vouchers. 8.     Only one gift voucher can be used per transaction. The voucher is not valid in conjunction with any other promotional offer.

 

   DELIVERY:

All orders are delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day Service except gift vouchers, which will be delivered  by Royal Mail Recorded and Signed for Service. Please allow a minimum of 3 working days for your order to reach you. We will confirm your order and availability as well as dispatch and arrival date by sending you an e-mail.

Every order is insured for its value. All orders will be sent out safely packed. Postage Band: Please select your postage band while you are purchasing online. If you select the wrong option we will contact you before we complete your order.

For Jewellery Purchases:

UK:  Nominal Fee is 4.95GBP per order. If your order value is over 100GBP, your postage is free of charge.

International : We use Royal Mail's International Airsure Mail Service, and the following charges apply. Delivery overseas will incur a standard charge of 10GBP. Delivery is not guaranteed, however items are tracked electronically and compensation will cover packages of up to £500, depending upon the destination.Airsure can be used for the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Canary Islands, Corsica, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Madeira, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Slovak Republic, Spain, Spitzbergen, Sweden, Switzerland and USA. Delivery to other countries is usually possible, but please contact us for details. Delivery time can vary depending on the country, but generally we say to allow between 7 and 10 days from dispatch.

For Art Purchases : If you purchase items from Art Gallery Section your delivery charges:

UK: Nominal Fee is 4.95GBP if your order value is under 100GBP; 7.50GBP if your order is up to 300GBP; and 15GBP if your order value is over 300GBP.

Gift Vouchers: Gift Voucher purchases are delivered free within the UK. They are not available for overseas purchase.

PACKING AND GIFT WRAPPING:

Your jewellery will arrive in an attractive, specially designed presentation case. Finished in silver and branded to Blue Wing Gallery. We use designer boxes for jewellery. All orders will be sent out packed safely in a padded envelope.

However, If the item is for a present by requesting  "I wish to send a gift" we will use gift wrapping and we can even add your own message in a gift card. The invoice will be sent to your address. If you would like to order more than one present and wish for us to send to more than one address, simply email or phone us with the list of addresses prior to placing your order. We can then arrange to send the relevant item to different addresses according to your instructions.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The terms and conditions for use of Blue Wing Gallery website are detailed below and should be read carefully. We may vary these terms from time to time and therefore you should check them before you make a new purchase.

·         Online Shopping:

We have taken care in presenting the products on our website as accurately as possible. The images you see will depend on your monitor's display and colour capabilities. We are therefore unable to guarantee that the product images you see are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise.

  •  Contract For Sale:

To order the goods you must be at least 18 years old. 

All prices on the site are shown in GB Pounds Sterling. Despite our best efforts, items in our online shop may occasionally be mispriced. If this occurs, we will contact you for instructions before despatch. 

All goods must be paid in full before shipping. 

We offer one off items for sale on our website. We aim to make daily updates on items in stock at all times but due to the very nature of our product range being imported or hand-made, it is inevitable that there will be breaks in supply. We offer the products on a “first come, first served” basis. On rare occasions stock levels may be incorrect, for example if another order occurs just before you have placed your, in which case you will be contacted. This means that your order is an offer, not a contract of sale between you and Blue Wing Gallery, so prices and stock availability won't be contractually confirmed until you receive the 'confirmation of despatch' email sent once your order has been successfully picked and we can confirm stock levels have been checked.

The advertising of products on this site is an  'invitation to treat'. That means your order is an offer, not a contract of sale between you and Blue Wing Gallery, so prices and stock availability won't be contractually confirmed until you receive the 'confirmation of order' email dispatched once credit card authorisation has been confirmed and stock levels have been checked.

A binding contract is formed only when you receive this confirmation from us.

    If we are unable to supply the goods in time we will contact you to arrange delivery date. We cannot be held    liable for any loss you may suffer as a result of late delivery or cancellation of your order. 

  • Ordering:

Please see our  “How to Buy” guide for instructions on placing an order. After you have placed an order, you will receive e-mail to acknowledge your order. It will confirm which goods you have ordered. This e-mail is not order acceptance from us. When we despatch your goods, we will send you a confirmation e-mail. This means we formally accept the order. We will not accept your order if:

* we do not have the goods in stock

* your payment is not authorised

* there is an error regarding the order or other details of the goods

* if you have cancelled your order with us according the instructions below. 

  • Cancelling an order before dispatch:

If you change your mind after placing an order, you can cancel it within 7 days or at any time before we despatch it. The only exception is “customised” goods. GeoTrust is the world's second largest digital certificate provider, and a leader in a wide variety of Identity and Trust services.  Your credit card details and personal information is protected by industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, which allows for the encryption of critically sensitive information. Information passed between your computer and www.blue-wing.co.uk cannot be read in the event someone else intercepts it. If you see a padlock in the bottom right-hand corner of your browser status bar you know that a digital certificate has been installed onto this website and that SSL encryption is in place. This means that information being transmitted between your Web Browser and the Web Server you are connected to on the Internet is safe from being tampered with.  

  • Returns & Exchanges:

We are unable to give refunds on unwanted goods. We are happy to offer an exchange or credit note for goods within 28 days of purchase, provided goods are returned unworn, in perfect condition and in the original box.  Unfortunately, we cannot refund or exchange items that arrive to us damaged or lost. On the other hand if your order arrives damaged in transit, we will replace it without charge. You must let us know any breakage within two days of receiving the order. Proof of purchase is essential. If you return any items please ensure the jewellery is sent with adequate insurance and copy of sales invoice.

Blue Wing Gallery is not liable for the cost of your own postage or any additional cost you incur and is not responsible for any damage or loss through transit. Regrettably due to health and hygiene we cannot extend this offer to pierced items. We cannot accept returns of customized items (if the item has been made or changed to your personal requirements). Please note that rings of non-stock sizes are considered “customized jewellery”. This does not affect your statutory rights.

We make every effort to ensure that our goods are of the highest quality but in the unlikely event that goods are deemed to be faulty we will offer to repair, exchange or refund where appropriate. This will not apply where goods are damaged through fair wear and tear or where we deem items to have been mishandled by the recipient of the goods.

Purchases made by credit card will be refunded to credit card accounts, and purchases made by cheque will be refunded by cheque.

  • Privacy:

At Blue Wing Gallery, we respect and protect the privacy of our customers. To help us provide the best possible service, we may collect and maintain certain information regarding, for example, the products you purchase, and your billing and delivery information. However, we protect and enforce the confidentiality of this information very strictly, and under no circumstances will we sell or rent it to other businesses or third parties. We respect your privacy and do all we can to honour the trust you place in Blue Wing Gallery.  Any personal data gathered by us in your use of this site will be recorded electronically and only used accordance with UK Data Protection Act 1998. Blue Wing Gallery Ltd (trading as Blue Wing Gallery) is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998, Registration no. PZ9293860.
